What is Pink Army?
Pink Army offers a new model for the development of drugs.
We’re a cooperative, meaning that our mission is simply to develop affordable cancer treatments. We’re primarily after a cure, not profit.
Second, we employ open-source principles. This means that everything we develop will be available for free reuse by others. We want to foster innovation, not wall it off behind patents.
Lastly, we use synthetic biology. Since every patient, and each cancer is unique, our focus is on developing one drug tailored to their specific genes.
We’re not developing the technology ourselves. We will bring together and pay researchers, companies and others in order to establish a new drug pipeline. One that doesn’t take 15-20 years before becoming available to the public.
