What is Pink Army?
We’re an open source cooperative aimed at changing how breast cancer drugs are developed. We use synthetic biology to develop one drug for one person and one cancer.
Why Pink Army?
Pink Army exists because the needs of cancer patients aren’t being met by the current drug development model. The system is broken. It shouldn’t take 15-20 years for drugs to come to market. It doesn’t make sense to make 1 drug for millions of people when each person and each cancer is unique.
How Can You Fix Breast Cancer Drug Development?
We will fix it by developing a new drug pipeline. We’re bringing researchers, companies and regulators together to develop one drug for one person.
Isn’t This Science Fiction?
We’re not developing any new technologies. We’re simply pulling pieces that already exist together. Synthetic biology is real and ready. Oncolytic virus and virotherapy are real and here. We’re simply providing the structure and the momentum to make cures work.
Cool Idea, What now?
We’re still building right now. What we really need are more coop members. We’re finalizing talks with partners, and once we’ve reached 2500 members, we’ll be ready to start on our first patient.
